what your sign man?
I think Fig is going to be a Pisces.
I'm having this feeling today that's just like everything is coming together. Everything is finishing up. Everything is falling into where it needs to be. I've gotten so much positive energy today - it's awesome.
And thank you everyone who has sent it - the Fig is so lucky to be born into a world where already he is so loved and has so many friends.
Fig's day is close, I can feel it.

Figgy's shower
Last night our dear friend Elizabeth hosted a super fun, baby-food (think mini-burgers, not strained peas) themed shower for Figget.
Most of the evening was spent laughing hysterically, overeating mini-chocolate cream puffs and predicting if I was going to go into labor on Tuesday or not.
This little guy is so lucky to already have these wonderful friends and life here in Nashville! We are blown away by everyone's love, generosity and support during this pregnancy.
Fig - when are you going to come??? We want to see your cute little face and kiss all your toes!

37-weeks 3-days
I didn't get up from this spot for 4-hours last night when I watch every bad show on E! and ate a giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich after have already eaten dinner. I have these burst of energy (like Saturday) and then these days of totally exhaustion (like Sunday). I've been doing that thing that everyone said I was going to do: "nesting" - trying to make our little nest perfect for the Fig.
too much information
My belly button is soft and mushy - totally different than the rest of my belly that's super hard. I wonder if it's going to pop??? It's like the funniest thing that's happened in this pregnancy yet!
Oh wait - no, that was when I left for work this morning without my purse, but with the soy milk. I'm just a little preoccupied these days.

grandma Jojo
Mom was in town for 5-days while Josh was in Switzerland - she is a machine. Between reorganizing the house, cleaning the kitchen for 3-hours (was it really that bad???), and her amazing generosity, advice and constant love - I am blown away. But not surprised, because I have the best mom ever!
Sometimes it just takes motivation from an outside source to get things moving. We've been so in our own heads since we moved into this house that we were doing the minimum to get by. With her initiative - we have been inspired to clean, organize, and "nest" before the Fig's arrival!

Rough day.
My wedding rings decide to stop fitting on my fingers. They are now on my angel necklace from meme that I wear every day. Starting to feel pretty puffy and uncomfortable.
This picture reminds me of when I was in college. I drew my self-portrait in blue crayon for drawing 101 because I hated the class so much.
Everything else is pretty status-quo for someone being 8-1/2 months pregnant.
Just tried, hungry all the time, and a zero patience for stupid people.
New fav' food:
Having a hard time watching or reading anything about the Octomom - her due date was right around Figglets.

you know what's amazing...
Afterward, I feel like I just had a 2-hour massage. I go once a week, every Sunday night. Everyone in class is at different stages in their pregnancy and different levels in their yoga practice. It's much different than my regular practice (less expressive and more passive). I assumed that other women were further along than I am because of their size and what they can and cannot do - but today I come to find that I'm the furthest along besides one other woman who's about to pop. She's definitely my inspiration - I want to keep doing this until Figglets birthing day!
The Fig loves it too - he is usually very calm throughout class, but then at the end during the final meditation, he gets super wiggly. I still can't help but smile whenever I feel him rock out.

we can do this!
This is the class we are taking - it's amazing. The one thing that has truly helped me put fear aside for this journey that is only 10-weeks away.
And no, they don't swing a pocket watch over my belly and tell me to squawk like a chicken
